FAQ

On Cloth Diapers

Q: How many cloth diapers do I need?
A: To know how much you need, take into account the age of your baby. For newborns, they would probably need 10 to 12 changes a day. Toddlers need 8 to 10 a day.

Q: What to do with poop in cloth diapers?
A: I really just rinse it out in the toilet, or spray it with water to remove the poop. My toddler already eats solid so I just drop the stool in the toilet. It's really easy, and more efficient way of "dealing with" poop if you ask me. (At least we're sure they end up in the sewer!)

Q: What to do with stains?
A: I have Mr. Sun to thank for this. I learned that putting the diapers out in the sun for hours really do wonders on the stain. Do remember that bleach is a big no-no for cloth diapers so don't ever think of using it for removing stains. Let Mr. Sun do the job for you. :)

Q: Can I wash cloth diapers in normal laundry detergents?
A: There are detergents that are safe for cloth diapers. Anything with perfumes, fragrance or softeners is harmful your cloth diapers, so be wary of these enzymes. We use Cycles right now for Nathan's cloth diapers.
